Mail Day 04/30/23

Mixed bag this week with nothing too special. First up is a 1998 Leaf Fractal Foundations (yeah I know) numbered 496/3999 on the back.

Next up is a 1999 Fleer Flair Showcase (yeah I have a problem) numbered 3367/6000 on the front.

I did get to add another PSA graded card though. This is a 2001 Fleer Red Sox 100th Anniversary (yeah I know you can read that), Gem MT 10.

The last cards are from my checklist side project. These are a batting/pitching leaders from 1983 Topps, a 1985 Fleer Checklist #655, and a 1985 Topps team checklist manager card.

Mail Day 04/26/23

Got to knock one card off my wantlist for 1995. This is an Upper Deck Special Edition Gold:

The next two are from that side project I'm doing to collect every checklist and team card Wade is listed on. This time I got a pair of Donruss checklists, one from 1984 and one from 1985.

Mail Day 04/22/23

Things have slowed down a bit with my collecting, but that's what happens when you have a car in the shop. A few trickled in this week though and I've been slow to update so here goes.

First and foremost, I was able to finish  my set of 2000 Topps Home Team Advantage with these two:

Next up is another 1998 Topps Stars Red, numbered 2485 of 9799. I now have (too many) 26 of these.

The best card of the week though is definitely this 2020 Topps Decades' Best Chrome Red, serial numbered to just 6/10! I bid on this thing early for a buck and no one ever outbid me the whole time. Yep, this was a $1 card.

And lastly is nothing major, but a side project I think I am going to work on slowly. I am going to try to get every checklist or team card that Boggs is listed on. Like for example the first thing I thought of was his 1983 Topps RC. Well that card is listed on 1983 Topps #526 checklist, which I picked up this week and is shown here:

Mail Day 04/07/23

More like a mail week though as I got backed up a little bit. I've got four cards to add to my collection this time. First up is this beautiful 2005 Upper Deck Reflections - Cut from the Same Cloth Dual Jersey Blue (#'d 07/50 with Don Mattingly).

Next up is this 2005 Donruss Champions Impressions Materials. Not numbered or anything but I didn't have it which is surprising because it was pretty cheap.

Next up is a card I didn't even think was real until I looked it up. This is a 2013 Leaf Sports Heroes Team of Dreams. No team name or MLB logos. You got me on this one.

And lastly, I picked up this 2023 Topps '88 Topps Anniversary Bat Relic to see if there was any difference between that and the Jersey version. Apparently there is not. It's not numbered any differently or anything. I guess some have jerseys and some have bat relics.

Mail Day 04/03/23

A bunch came in today. I guess a week can't go by without me picking up one of these 1999 Fleer Flair Showcase. Numbered 1052 of 6000 on the front.

Next up is a 2005 Upper Deck Hall of Fame Cooperstown Calling. This one is #CO-WB2 and is numbered 03/50 on the front.

Also from 2005 Upper Deck, but this time from the Ultimate Collection set is this base card #136, Retired, and numbered 179/275.

And lastly is this 2020 Topps Archives Red, numbered on the front 60/75.

Mail Day 03/31/23

Only one card came in today. This is a 2018 Topps High Tek Green Magma Diffractor.

This card is numbered 90/99 down in the bottom right corner. What makes this a Diffractor as opposed to a Green Rainbow Foil (also #'d to 99) is the pattern on the back.

You can see all the blobs and stuff. The Rainbow Foil just has a plain silvery back. Hope that help someone out there.
