Mail Day 03/30/23

Happy Opening Day!

Got these two in the mail today. First up is a 2021 Panini Mosaic Vintage Orange Fluorescent.

This card is serial numbered 81/99 on the back, but I have no idea why they didn't stamp it in that oval area instead of to the right of it.

The other card I got in was a 2023 Topps - 1988 Topps 35th Anniversary Blue. Apparently these had a print run of 600.

Mail Day 03/28/23

Only one card to add today. This is a 2014 Topps High Tek Gold Diffractor. It is numbered on the back 08/99. I have two of these now. Didn't know I actually had this one already.

Mail Day 03/27/23

I picked up a Boggs 1981 TCMA minor league card. This only a PSA 5 but I didn't have a graded copy yet. My raw card is probably in better shape than this, but who cares I got one.

Next up is a 2014 Topps Tribute - Tribute to the Throne Relics Sepia. This is serial numbered on the front 06/35.

And last up is a 2021 Topps Update - 1986 Topps Chrome Green, numbered on the back 92/99. I have three of these now.

Mail Day 03/24/23

Had a few cards roll in today. First up is this 2005 Donruss Timeless Treasures - Statistical Champions Materials Year (yeah that's a mouthful), serial numbered 54/100. Looks like this:

The rest are from these sets I'm still trying to sort out: Topps High Tek. You have to look at the front and especially the back of these things to even figure out what the Hell you're looking at. From 2016 is this Tidal Diffractor Maze Grid. I'm pretty sure the diffractors are the ones with the different patterns on the back.

The next two come from 2018. First up is a Galactic Diffractor. You can tell by the pattern on the back.

And finally, this is a Blue Rainbow Foil, which the front is blue (duh) and serial numbered 65/150 which helps you narrow down the identity of these parallels.

Holy Grail Mail Day

I finally got one. It has to be the right time and place for me to get certain cards because I just don't have the funds to get into bidding wars. In this case I saw it and grabbed it. Yeah it was costly, but I got it.

Well, what is it?

This is a 1996 Pinnacle Skylines. The reason it is such a tough card should be obvious.

The Twin Towers.

The back looks like this:

Mail Day 03/21/23

Got a trio of cards in the mail today. First up is a 1993 Stadium Club 1st Day Production. These had a print run of 2000, inserted one every 24 packs.

Next up is yet another 1999 Fleer Flair Showcase Row 1, serial numbered 2711 out of 6000. I now have too many of these.

And finally I get to add a new card to my collection. It's a 2019 Topps Triple Threads Amber, numbered 047/199.

Mail Day 03/18/23

I picked up a 4 card, serial numbered lot, and finally got in a card I pre-ordered awhile back. First of the lot is a 2004 Donruss Leather & Lumber - Leather in Leather (yeah it don't make sense to me either), numbered 562/2499.

Also from 2004 is this Donruss Throwback Threads Century Stars, numbered 173/1500.

The next two come from the same set, 2005 Donruss Leather & Lumber. The first one is the Naturals insert, numbered 869/2000.

The next is the Silver version of the Naturals insert, numbered 74/100.

And finally is this beauty from 2022 Topps Black & White.

Mail Day 03/17/23

Well let's see what the luck of the Irish brought me today. First up is a 2006 SP Legendary Cuts Baseball Chronology #BC-WB2. This is serial numbered on the front 384/550. This makes two of these I own now.

Next up is yet another 2021 Donruss Red and White Stripes. Donruss? Check. Serial numbered? Check. Another quick $1 purchase? Check. I now have 26 of these. I can't help myself.

And last up is a 2022 Topps Pristine Encased Gold Refractor. I definitely didn't have one of these, but glad to add it to my collection. Oh, and it's numbered 41/50.

Mail Day 03/16/23

Got two more in the mail today, one was a need for the collection and one...well, not so much. The first one is a 1987 Kraft uncut panel with Boggs and Eric Davis. Now I am only missing the Boggs/Ozzie Smith variation.

The other card is a 1999 Flair Showcase Row 1, serial numbered 3072/6000. I now have ummm, let's see... carry the nine... ok, 46 of these. Wow.

Mail Day 03/15/23

Only one card to add to the collection today. This is a 2013 Topps Museum Green, serial numbered 19/199.

Mail Day 03/14/23

Happy Pi Day! I got quite a few things in the mail today. First up is a 2004 Leaf Certified Materials Mirror Blue Fabric Position, numbered 43/100. Awesome looking card.

Next up is a 2005 Upper Deck Classics Classic Moments, numbered 1667/1999. I have six of these now.

Now this is a cool one. This is a 2014 Topps Gypsy Queen Mini Sepia, numbered 25/50. A lot of people don't like GQ because of the mini size and how to store it in their collections. I found that if you put it in a tobacco card sized holder, you can then fit that inside a 60 point top loader. Holds it quite well and won't get lost inside a storage box.

Next up is a 2018 Topps Salute Series Two Gold, numbered 10/50.

And finally, from 2023 Topps is a 1988 style jersey relic card. I have also seen a bat relic version of the same card, but it isn't listed separately in the database? I'll try to pick one of those up as well just to be sure.

Mail Day 03/11/23

Only one card in today. It's a 2017 Panini Diamond Kings Heritage Collection Holo Blue, Serial numbered 02/25. I also have 03/25. Cool.

Mail Day 03/09/23

Two cards in the mail today. First up is a 2005 Finest Refractor Blue, serial numbered 137/299. I wish they would scan better as the serial numbers are hard to even see.

Next up is a 2013 Panini Select Skills Prizm. This is a great looking card, but it didn't really scan that way. Ugh.

Mail Day 03/08/23

I bought this lot of six relics from 2008 SP Legendary Cuts. Only a few dupes for me, but some low serial numbered cards that I needed.

Blue, #'d 12/99

Mail Day 03/06/23

Interesting mix of cards in the mail today. First up is one of those "oh that's a thing?" card. It is a 1992 Topps Match the Stats game card, which I'm guessing most people just tossed in the trash. It was listed as a Boggs card so I picked one up finally.

Saturday, March 4, 2023

Mail Day 03/04/23

Only one card in the mail today: 2006 SP Legendary Cuts Baseball Chronology, serial numbered 433/550. I now have three of these.

Mail Day 03/02/23

Every now and then I'll see something listed on eBay and go "dahell is that?!?" Usually it's some oddball or a parallel base I never knew existed. Yeah, like today's card. This is a 2005 Donruss Team Heroes Showdown Bronze. It is serial numbered 16/100.

Mail Day 02/28/23

Got two more Boggs in the mail today. First up is a 1998 Topps Gallery Player's Private Issue. This is number stamped on the back 243 of 250. I have two of these now.

Next up is a set I need to figure out once again: 2014 Topps High Tek. When you can't even figure out which card you have, you have made a set way too confusing with all its parallels. Anyway, after some research this turned out to be the Laser Ice pattern, sometimes called the "scribble". No, not confusing at all...
